What can I say, Dave knows his stuff. He uses real world teaching to get real world results. The Mistress is an excellent aircraft and fun as hell to fly. I cannot thank Dave and his crew enough for helping me get my SES commercial add-on. He went above and beyond. Thank you!
Dave is such a great guy and great pilot! My boyfriend and I went down for the weekend so he could get his seaplane rating and he had such a blast and felt accomplished afterwards. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to get a new rating or just looking to have some fun!

I had an awesome time getting my seaplane rating. Dave gave excellent and thorough training. Pineville Airport has an ideal variety of lakes and rivers in the immediate area with plenty of obstacles to provide real world scenarios. I was 100% prepared for my check ride and passed. Dave was kind enough to introduce me to the best local cuisine and southern hospitality Louisiana had to offer. This was an unexpected bonus making the experience even more enjoyable.
Flying with Dave was super fun. I had tight schedule and nevertheless we did everything fast. Dave has great sense of humour, he's also a classical aviator with common sense and little BS, unlike so many CFIs out there. He also arranged the checkride that was easy after training with Dave. I only had a small window of time that I'd be able to train and take a check ride, and Dave went above and beyond to make it happen for me. To top all of that off, he's a master of the cub and an excellent instructor. The amount of fun I had flying around the waterways with Dave shouldn't even be allowed! David is a great instructor! He is really thorough and you will leave a with a great base of float plan knowledge and skill to continue to learn and stay safe. I really had a great time! The only down side is I couldn't stay for a month.
